Cesar
E. Chavez Park in Berkeley, CA, is at 11 Spinnaker Way, Berkeley. It's 90
acres, and it's open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. This park was built on the
former landfill site. It offers various recreational opportunities in a marina
setting with a spectacular view of three bay bridges, Alcatraz and Angel
Island. I like this park because it features a nice dog park, a beautiful lawn,
a great picnic area, an off-street parking, a nice vista and overlooking view,
and walking or biking trails. This park is also wheelchair accessible, so there is no need
to worry if you want to take your grandparents who need wheelchairs.
I
think it’s wise that the University of California Berkeley hired a private
security vendor to staff guards outside three of the campus dorm complexes.
According to the university spokesperson, three guards from Treeline Security
started working. They will monitor the areas around the residence halls units
1, 2, and 3, along with Blackwell Hall on Durant Avenue and Haste Street, from
6:30 pm to 2:30 am. Seven days a week. This act will make the campus areas and
around safer. Seeing the presence of this security personnel will make the
students living near the area more peaceful. Read more.
